Masala Dosa


For Batter:

3 cup Rice

1 cup split blackgram(Urad ) dal

1 tbsp poha

1/2 tesp fenugreek seeds(methi dana)

Salt to taste


1.Soak all the ingredients except salt in water for 2-3 hrs.

2. Grind it to a smooth paste and add salt and mix it. Keep the batter overnight to ferment.

3. Use this Batter to make any kind of dosas.

For Masala:


4 Boiled Potatoes

1/2 tesp mustard seeds

1 tesp bengalgram(chana dal)

1 tesp split blackgram(urad dal)

4-5 curry leaves

1/2 tesp turmeric pd

1 tesp Red chilli pd

Salt to taste

1 tesp lemon juice

1 tbsp oil


1.Heat oil in a pan.

2.Add mustard seeds,both dals and curry leaves.

3.Add onions and cook till it get brown.

4.Add salt,turmeric powder,red chilli powder.cook it with some water.

5.Add boiled potatoes.

6.Add lime juice.Mix it well and cook it.

7. Serve with dosa either filling in it or keeping aside.
